Kitchens can be some of the hardest rooms to tile.  Not only do they often have lots of corners and nooks etc, but the walls are full of power sockets and switches.  Trying to cut tiles around sockets will leave a scrappy result.  Instead, take the socket off the wall and cut and fix the tile before putting the socket on again.
